A high-energy R & B artist who has been blowing away fans since 2004, Chris Brown is an American musician, actor, and dancer. His debut album, which was self-titled, was released by Jive Records in 2004 and topped off at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The album was a best seller and was later double platinum certified by the RIAA. The singer’s second release, Exclusive, came out in 2007 and contained three hit singles including “With You”, “Forever” and “Kiss Kiss”. His third record Graffiti was released in 2009 and includes the single “I Can Transform Ya”, which featured Swizz Beatz and Lil Wayne. Chris Brown’s fourth album F.A.M.E. came out in 2011 and was his first to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The record earned him the Best R & B Album Grammy Award. As of 2013, his most recent album to be released is, Fortune, his fifth studio record. The entertainer has also made several appearances on screen including the feature film Stomp the Year and the TV show The O.C. He has also played roles in movies such as This Christmas, Takers and Think Like a Man. Numerous awards have been received by the entertainer including two NAACP Image Awards, nine BET Awards and three American Music Awards among others. His career has not been without controversy; in 2009, the artist pled guilty to assaulting his ex-girlfriend, the singer Rihanna and was sentenced to five years of probation. The entertainer founded his own record label in 2007 and has since signed several artists including Kevin McCall, Sabrina Antoinette, Sevyn Streeter and more.
