About Deus EX Human Revolution
In a world where powerful multinational corporations control the world, and terrorist groups threaten to destroy everything, only one man can save the human race. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a role-playing action video game that was published by Square Enix and developed by Eidos Montreal. The game made its premiere in August 2011, and is the third release of the franchise. The game takes place in 2027, a full 25 years prior to the start of the first game in the series. Gamers play as Adam Jensen, a security guard at a biotech firm called Sarif Technologies in Detroit, Michigan. During the story, Adam gets involved with the global politics surround human enhancement and is forced to reckon with terrorists that attacked his company. A great deal of critical acclaim was received by the video game and reviewers praised the inclusion of topical social issues as well as the open flow of the game. Some of the people who cast characters voices for the game include Elias Toufexis, Stephen Shellen, Arthur Holden, and Bruce Dinsmore among others. The soundtrack for the game was produced and composed by Michael McCann. At the 2012 British Academy of Film and Television, it received a nomination for the Best Original Score Award. It was released as a digital download as well as a retail CD on November 25th, 2011. An Augmented Edition was released which includes a motion comic, a making-of documentary and the E3 trailer as well as a 40-page Artbook.
