About Kung Fu Panda 2
Families love a good laugh together and "Kung Fu Panda 2" doesn’t fail to disappoint thanks to its savvy characters and upbeat humour and pace. Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, and Jackie Chan provide some of the voice talent for this amusing sequel to the highly-acclaimed first film, "King Fu Panda". The usual hilarity of animated animals once again explodes on the screen in vivid colour and is sure to delight adults and children alike. Po, the lead character and a panda with impressive fighting skills (voiced by Jack Black) sets out on a search for his real father, as it’s obvious to all viewers who saw the original "Kung Fu Panda" film that the goose who raised Po is clearly not his real father. Lord Shen who is voiced by Gary Oldman believes it has been prophesied that it is his task to take over all of China. Shen’s quest is driven by a need to find ever more metal to make the weapon of his dreams, while Po discovers his true heritage through flashbacks which eventually lead him to the discovery of his inner peace. Kids will love the rollicking animal characters with the usual mixture of slapstick and action, and adults will appreciate the smart pace of the storyline and the pleasingly artistic visuals. The film score by the famed Hans Zimmer keeps the movie smoothly rolling along with energy and balance, and a witty musical piece in the end credits makes for an entertaining and visually beautiful ending to "Kung Fu Panda 2".
