About Xbox 360

Though Bungie decided to pass on the opportunity to create another Halo, there was no force in the world able to stop this franchise. The new first-person shooter Halo 4, developed by 343 Industries, was released in 2012 as yet another Microsoft Studios hit. As with its predecessor Halo 3, this game is only available on the Xbox 360 platform. The fact that within the first 24 hours of its release over one million people were already playing this game on Xbox Live best illustrates the levels of popularity it enjoys. By the end of 2012, Halo 4 had already sold over 4 million copies and it received countless positive reviews. Halo 4 has state-of-the-art graphics, and featured within the game are rich and detailed surroundings created with excellent lighting and fantastic textures. The expressive facial animations give this game that extra pinch of reality it needs to make the sci-fi story more believable. To further enhance the experience, various cut scenes have been added that enhance the storyline and make Halo 4 more than just a point and shoot. The game can be played in campaign mode with up to three additional players. The difference from Halo 3 is that all players in campaign mode now automatically assume the role of Master Chief. While this might not sound very diverse, it once and for all settles the most common argument by Halo players over who gets to be Master Chief. Multiplayer has always been this game’s strong side. There are many exciting modes and the map edition tool Forge is again available, allowing players to customise the maps according to their taste.
