A little slice of Europe in Canada
Founded in 1642, the city of Montreal, Canada, is over 300 years old. Full of beautiful cathedrals and European-style architecture, it offers tourists a chance to find a taste of Europe in North America. Montreal is the heart of the Quebec province and hosted the World's Fair in 1967 and the Summer Olympics in 1976. The city houses countless art exhibits and even an ice hotel in the winter months. Montreal continues to be the center of French Canadian culture and progress.
