) I bought this for my wife mainly because she keeps stealing the one I bought for myself. The initial attraction for mine was the 3G internet access as an extra communication option when travelling in Europe next year - just occasional motel lookups and the like when I have no wi-fi. It would be nice if it was an all-singing and all-dancing linux machine but it only really does one thing well. It is an Amazon e-book reader. PDF need to be read in landscape orientation to be legible. Yes, you can zoom in portrait mode but you'll go crazy with most docs. The screen legibility is legendary. When travelling, battery life is not as long as advertised because ours gets more than the assumed 30 minutes use each day. But I carry a netbook for Wi-Fi access and the Kindle charges from the USB. So I only need carry one (netbook) power adapter.

) HI I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT FOR MY WIFE WHO READS MANY BOOKS.WHAT WE DISLIKE ABOUT IS IT ONLY HAS A WI-FI AN NOT A 3G SET UP.HOWEVER IT IS GREAT TO HAVE AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CARRY HEAVY BOOK WITH YOU . ALSO YOU CAN PUT HUNDREDS OF BOOK IN IT . HOWEVER WE HAVE TO FIND SOMEWHERE THERE IS A WI-FI TO PURCHUSE BOOKS

My best friend has a Kindle and I had told her 12 months before she bought it to buy one as you don't have to keep finding space to put the books. Here we are 2 years down the track and I have started reading again and decided to get one as they are the best. I have had cheaper e books and the Kindle is just so superior to them and much easier to use.I am very happy with my purchase and would reccomend them any time.

) Hi,My first kindle was faulty after less than 2 hours reading and the replacement has worked very well,I bought a kindle solely for the purpose of borrowing e books from my local library only to find after the purchase that australian libraries dont support this model and make. Have not been able to compare this with other models yet, but im extremely pleased so far
