Apple iPad 2 16GB, Wi-Fi, 9.7in - Black Tablet

The 3's got virtually nothing on it aside from better graphics and camera (and slightly improved battery life - apple will refurbish your existing battery for $100 once it gets too bad anyway, so non-issue there).

If you haven't been disappointed with the graphics (and who uses his pad for high resolution photography or cad design???), save yourself a few hundred bucks and get these - they're getting cheaper virtually on a daily basis.

As always, lack of free high quality content on the apple store and no usb access are the pad's only major drawbacks on other tablet platforms. The interface and compatibility with all other known commercial software and hardware products known to man (barring flash) more than make up for it in my opinion.

You dont need 4G version if you have a 4G phone it would be redundancy WiFi is sufficient the resolution compared with iphone 4G is so superior

This is my first experience with the Ipad and it a mixture of elation and disappoinment. It is a joy to use and I love the instant on and just how quick it is to surf the web via my home based Wi-Fi internet. But the lack of a USB port is a serious limitation preventing it being a much more versatile unit. I have a satelite Internet dongle and assumed I could use this with the Ipad but the lack of a USB port prevents this meaning if you need to connect to the web outside your home Wi Fi then you should consider purchasing the product with 3G access as this cannot be added in later. The other main limitation is its inability to muli-task. This means if you are reading your emails and click on an internet link the device closes the email progam then loads the web. The only way back to your emails is to shut down Safari and re-open the email progam or whatever other program you were using before navigating away. Also the lack of an email filter means you have to manually delete all the spam.
