| The Canon IXUS/S100 is part of the ELPH line of cameras that revolutionised the diminutive, pocket-sized, full-function camera. The Canon digital ELPH series gave consumers the ability to always take a camera with them and the Canon S100 is no exception. At 87 mm wide, 57 mm high, and 26.9 mm deep, the Canon IXUS/S100 is only slightly larger than a credit card and can easily fit into any pocket. The 1.5-in (3.8-cm) LCD display on the little Canon digital camera is more than adequate to experience the clear images captured with the 2.1 megapixel resolution. The Canon IXUS/S100 digital camera has many excellent features for a small package. A 4x optical zoom allows the user to capture even faraway images with the Canon S100 and the automatic lens cover ensures protection when the camera is stowed in your pocket. ) The rating was for cameras in this category. This camera is light, easy to use and has some great features. I particularly like the night time function to get better night pictures by taking several shots and then getting a composite result. Much the same function in the day with varying light balance by using a tripod. Great for travel.
