| The Digitech Whammy is an add-on effect pedal for the guitar pedalboard that allows guitarists to ignore the vibrator bar on their guitars and rely on foot-controlled pitch shifting. The Digitech Whammy has several guitar effect modes, including harmony bend mode, detune mode, and the proprietary whammy mode. With the Digitech Whammy, a musician can use his or her guitar pedalboard to raise or lower octaves, bend harmonies as much as a toe up or down, and cause pitches to become deeper or shallower. Using the Whammy guitar effect mode, guitarists can bend input notes up to three octaves down with the Dive Bomb effect or two semi-tones down with the Drop Tune effect. This effect pedal also supports fine-grained pitch control, enabling musicians to create harmony effects that are as small as a seventh up or down. In addition to the Whammy's main pitch pedal, it boasts a rotary knob that allows users to choose from 16 different presets. With the precise control offered by its standard foot pedal and easy-to-use rotary knob presets, the Digitech Whammy is accessible to guitarists of all skill levels. | |
