) I bought this product after my hair dresser straightened and curled my hair with the same GHD model.
I have been using it for about three months now. I have very thick and long (about 80cm )hair. If I wash it and do nothing to it, I have curly, frizzy hair and a lot of hair too.
When I decide to straighten and curl, I do use a heat protector spray before I dry and straighten.
I find it does it very quickly and my hair gets a nice shine too. Also it lasts. With my old straightener after an hour or so and on rainy days, I would get kinks reappearing. If I have time or for special occasions I will also curl my hair with the same GHD straightener. Look up on You Tube to learn how!
In all honesty I have never had a bad hair day using the GHD and I do find my style lasts without having to use hairsprays and setting gels.If you do have thick and long hair like me, there is a bigger one, which is what I would get if I ever need to replace it. I would highly recommend.

) This is the second one I have bought. The first was for my Granddaughter, I was so impressed with this product I had to have one for myself. It is fabulous my hair can be styled in minutes even if it has not been washed that day and I can now have the style I want when I want!!!!! I had 2 other straighteners before my GHD - no comparison. These are so good that my Granddaughters one has been stolen when their house was broken into - even thieves know they are the best!!!!!!!!
If you have curly hair, GHD is the only straightener for you!

I have had a couple of straigheners never a GHD but had used my girlfriends on many occasions. I knew it was the best, especially for curly hair and I am not disappointed. If you have curly hair GHD is the only way to go. Joy

I bought this hair straigtener because my old silver bullets weren't very good. A friend reccomended ghd, a brand I had never used before. The ghd IV MK4 is light weight and compact. Heats up to full temperature in less than 30 seconds. Great to curl and straigten hair, long lasting hold. Very pleased with this product.
