) I cancelled my order (seller was willing to thankfully) based on the responses over at Klipsch Community Forums where there was an entire forum thread discussing counterfeit Image S4 earphones. Be wary of cheap S4s on eBay.
If you do buy an Klipsch Image S4, the most sure way to tell if they're fake is to rub the the side where it says "Klipsch". If the name rubs off, it is a fake. Genuine ones don't rub off at all. There are some other small details and you're welcome to read about it (it's a very long thread though): http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/145797.aspx?PageIndex=1.
That's not to say all cheap Image S4 are counterfeit but it's likely 99% of the cheap ones out there are. Buy from a reputable seller that has a good return policy.

These headphones are fake, they sound average but compared to real klipsch image s4 they are appalling. jbhifi staff confirmed they were fake. i would avoid this seller.

) My first 'proper' earphones so can only compare to iPhone ones.
Amazing sound - especially bass. Very quiet to people near you and cuts out background noise well.
Takes a bit of getting used to shoving them deep into your ears and they don't stay in well so don't run with them!

) I bought these to use with my Sony walkman when out for my daily walk.
For the price, the sound is brilliant, in fact I'd rate them nearly 10/10 in most aspects especially when compared to the rubbish that comes pre-packaged with most portable devices.
I even made sure to try rubbing off the brand name, but had no success and so I have to assume that they're not fakes.
My only complaint with them is that they WONT stay in place unless I'm sitting or standing still and on that basis I couldn't recommend them.
