I love shooting with a prime lens, such as this, as it allows in more light than the longer zoom lenses, allowing me to shoot 1 stop down, and more importantly, hand-held.

Do find it struggles to focus, especially during recording video, but how often do you film on DLSR.

Great cheap low light lens for starters. Focuses fast and quietly, with a nice, wide aperture. Great value all round.

If you have a DX camera, you NEED this. It's equivalent to a 52mm lense, nifty fifty style!!
