Nikon Coolpix AW100 16.0 MP Digital Camera - Camouflage

This is a great camera. First thing I noticed was the weight - a lot less than my previous camera. I had purchased a new Olympus Mu Tough previously which i took overseas on a trip to Hawaii. It was a heavy camera but felt strong and solid. I liked it in the shop compared to the others I looked at and reviewed at the time in the $400 price mark. After using it for 8 weeks I found it had a slow zoom, slow to start up and poor photo quality if not out in bright sun. I sold it as soon as I got home. Now I have purchased the AW100. It is light, thin enough, takes fantastic photos inside and out, starts up quick, zooms reasonably quick and has a great sized screen. The menu is easy to use and has one touch video. Basically Im very happy with it and in my opinion it is far better than the Olympus. I love the camo colour, something different. Sealing mechanism has not failed so far so I consider it an excellent purchase. Just dont like the long neck strap it comes with, needs a smaller more useful strap on it to hook it on my wrist and tighten so I dont accidentally drop it. Overall for a 10m waterproof compact...excellent value and functionality.
