Nikon Coolpix D7000 16.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Black (Kit w/ AF-S DX 18-105mm Lens)

An excellent DSLR body for those wanting something more than the entry-level. It has tons of excellent features that you would see in a pro level body like the D300, but at a much lower price! Features like the 6fps burst rate, magnesium alloy body, 39 autofocus points (unrivalled in its segment) and dual SD card slots make it a brilliant DX body to use. It feels great in the hands because of the weight from the alloy and the solid rubber grip. The controls, including the dual control wheels and upper LCD display are great to use, and anyone transitioning from a D90 will feel right at home. The D7000 is well deserving of its top tier placement in Nikon's DX range of DSLRs.

This camera takes amazing photos.
I upgraded from an older model Nikon DSLR which I liked and used for years, and this was s definite upgrade! 2 SD slots means your not having to change cards on the fly, which I really loved when travelling.
It is big, and noticeable so not good for discreet shots and can get heavy when carried for long periods.
However the shots you get are amazing. Great colour, and very clear. I keep saying "I love my camera" because I really really do. Well worth the investment.

This camara rocks! I have had a few Nikon cameras over the years but this one is very impressive. It takes photos in very low light levels, the scene settinsg are really good for capturing and setting up different settinsg quickly. I managed to operate most of the features without referring to the manual which is a good indication of its ease of use.
I saved a bundle by buying direct from HK, it arrived via courier in about 5 days. The manual supplied was in Chinese and Nikon Australia failed to offer any support or even an attempt to sell me an english one. Pretty silly if you ask me. The supplier of the camera was however very helpful. If you want a manual, you can get one in English as a PDF from Nikon in the USA for free! Just download it from their web site and save it on your smart phone! :)
The product is great, the supplier was efficient, honest and helpful. Overall, I would say I am very happy and would buy again. :)

The D7000 is a fantastic body to use, with functions easily navigated and controls well laid out. The positioning of the function button enables rapid switching to the HD video capability which this body is equipped with and the ability to designate one of the two card slots as either video or overflow from the other card means that there is plenty of storage. The body is well made and fits the hand easily, and for those who prefer the extra capacity and additional release button there is the option of fitting the battery pack which comes with the shutter release for use when shooting vertical format. As prices have dropped on this camera due to newer model releases, it is excellent buying and is a camera which will serve well for years to come.

This is the best camera for me. The design is great and it is one of the reason i bought it. The quality of images is great, totally happy with it. All the bottons are very useful for me. I am also very impressed with the edit function from the camera. Feel like it's a bonus. Thanks Nikon for creating a great product like that!
