Different collars reveal diverse personalities and certain styles are apt for certain occasions

STRAIGHT COLLAR
Popular and everlasting, versatile for casual or formal wear.

BUTTON DOWN COLLAR

Its heritage being in workwear as a practical solution to preventing the dreaded curled up collar.

SPREAD COLLAR

Similar to the cutaway collar yet a bit more casual.

THE CUTAWAY COLLAR
This is a classic style perfect for business.

CLUB COLLAR

Round or club collars look great when they carry contrast to the shirt body, helping to accentuate the features of the collar.

TAB COLLAR

This is another way to add detail to your image. These shirts will have a fairly tight area in which to slot a tie, so make sure you pick out a slim or skinny tie.

Other things to consider when purchasing a new shirt –
  • The Fit: Slim or Regular. My personal favourite is the slim fit
  • The Cuffs: Of course this only applies to long sleeve shirts, either Double or Buttons
  • The Pattern: stripes, cheques, plain, ….
  • The Colour: What’s your favourite colour….
