Adding pictures to ebay auctions

Like if this Guide is helpful

Ebay auctions with pictures will have increased impact. If a potential buyer reads about an item being in good condition, he might believe it or not. If he sees a good picture showing a clean item in good condition he might enter a bid straight away or add the item to his watch list.

Some tips about photographs:
  • Try different angles with your digital camera
  • Try taking pictures with or without flash
  • Avoid backgrounds that are too boring or distract from the item
  • If taking picture of metal object avoid reflection of the flash
Taking close-ups of smaller items with a digital camera can be tricky. Here a scanner can more appropriate. Eg hard drives or a stick of SDRAM can be easily placed on the scanner. The buyer will be able to eg read the text printed on the unit.

Most of my items will have a Gallery Picture - a bit extra cost but many more people will look at the item. Found that gallery items look best if they are about 600 to 800 pixels in one direction.
