Should I buy this old watch or an 100year old broach.

We are often asked the question: Is it worth keeping my old jewellery bits and pieces or sell them today. Over the last 30 odd years of dealing with  goods from yesteryear we have noticed that the supply is coming more and more difficult to find which is resulting in the items available are becoming more valuable. Not so long ago it was the swinging 60s but goods from that era are becoming difficult to find.  As for items from the 1780-1850s they are almost always found in the museum. Our speciality is pocket and wristwatches from about 1820-1920 and without exception all watches have increased in value from this period.  If you have a pocket watch in silver or gold from this era we would suggest that you just enjoy its workmanship and keep it alongside your other family treasures.
