As a Seller of Autographs for over 4 years I can offer advise to anyone how is looking to buy authentic autographed Sports Memorabillia.

Authenticity is the biggest issue in purchasing a signed piece ~ how do you know that it is a real autograph??

There are many sellers that buy and trade autographs leaving the authenticity questionable once changing so many hands.

If you purchase an autograph from the person that actually obtained  the autograph you are definitely on the right track.

I, myself have a policy that I never purchase signed items, I obtain all signatures myself so that I can 100% guarantee the authenticity of every single item.

That being said, many many sporting Memorabilia sellers are doing some homework and are ensuring to their best ability that they are buying a genuine autograph.  hence, many resellers purchasing from me!  I would advise that you always ask the seller where the autograph originated from, I know I would be able to give you every details of where and when each item was signed and in most cases have photos or press clippings to back up.

I see alot of print signatures Photos on ebay, although some people may not mind purchasing a print signature, they are worthless, only an original hand signed autograph is of value. This is when a photo is signed and then reproduced multiple times. The biggest problem comes into play when the said photo is resold and resold and somewhere along the line the Buyer is not even aware it is a Print! I never get photos signed for this reason, I think it is a better policy to place photos with a seperate autographed index card or such.

The other point I need to make is Pricing ~
I see alot of companies say if it is too cheap that it is not real  FALSE ~ Well, In my case at least, we have been collecting autographs for other 15 years and have stacks & stacks!!
I sell mostly at .99 cent start so the market can determine the fair price.
I take great pleasure in supplying real items to real fans!!  Some items, a sports memorabilia seller would need to start at a higher price to reimburse for the price of the item (Jersey or travel, other related expense etc) but if a price is Cheap ~ this does not always mean it is not real!

Purchasing from reputable seller is always recommended!

I hope this helps, All the best,
