Avoiding Non-paying Bidders

How to avoid non-paying bidders?

It is annoying but real problem with being an honest seller in the Ebay auction market. Every once in a while the winning bidder will fail to contact you and furthermore pay, despite your full-hearted efforts. Unfortunately this has occured several times to myself. In order to avoid this from happening here are a few tips I have gathered in my short time as an ebay seller.

  1. Make Conditions

When you submit your listing it is a good idea to make, as a requirement of bidding, that ebayers with negative or zero feedback contact you before bidding. This way, before the auction has ended you have an idea of whether or not they are going to indeed pay. Even though by placing a bid they are entering into a legally binding contract some people are unfortunately ignorant to this, and it is up to you to ensure that the transaction goes smoothly.

    2.  Offer Refunds

It is highly publicized that by offering refunds if the item arrives not as how it was advertised increase bids, but it also can deter people from not paying, as if they make a bid at the last minute and decide that they don't want to pay they have the chance to pay for the item and if it is not as described, to return it.

I hope these small tips make your ebay trading a pleasant one.

Bye for now
