New Starters on ebay with limited Budget

It can be overwhelming  as new bee on E bay. As per my personal experience I had to absorb a lot of information from google and E bay help but when it comes to postal packaging there is not much information available or you can say to the point information is hard to extract. so if you are one of those who have limited budget to start on E bay and you live in Australia (domestic seller only) then here are some basic tips.(for standard post only)

1. Go to Au Post and ask for a Letter Gauge ( available for free)
2. Letter gauge have 3 options
  • Small letter max 130mm x 240mmx5 mm thick ( wt up to 250 g, $1  stamp req)
  • Small plus letter max 162 mm x 240mm 5mm thick ( wt up to 250 g, $1 stamp req)
  • Large letter max 260 x 360mm x 20 mm thick
          ( wt up to 125 g, $2  stamp req)
          ( wt up to 250 g, $3 stamp req)
          ( wt up to 500 g, $5 stamp req)
  • Any thing above 500 g is considered as Parcel- Cost more
Therefore if you are planning to buy any thing from AliExpress Or Albaba make sure that your product falls under the dimensions and weight requirement as per Au post Letter gauge so that you can keep your budget small and economical.

TIP:  minimum amount spend on postage will help you to make your listing on E bay with free shipping, free shipping listing is one of the requirement to be eligible for Top rated or Premium member on E bay.

This also means that you can add the postage price to your Product with profit without any noticeable change to selling price of your product.
*E bay market is highly competitive, buyer prefer for free shipping items.

I hope it helps.
