When you have an auction that is finishing and it sells, it then gets placed into the sold section of your "My eBay" area. However, many sellers new and advanced, may not know of the second chance offer that is available if you have multiples of that same item.
If the auction had more then one bid, then you are able to send a second chance offer to the last bidder that missed out on the auction. The item will be lower priced, but you will not be required to pay any insertion fees. You will be required however, to pay the final value fee on any items that do infact sell on a second chance offer.
This doesn't always guarantee you a sale, but you are able to sell as many items as there are bids, from separate buyers, as long as you have multiples of that same item.
Say for example you sell an item for $180, it has more than one bid, and you have two of these items available. Instead of re-listing the item and waiting for it to sell, send a second chance offer to the person who missed out on winning the item. They will more than likely jump at the opportunity to grab that item they thought they lost forever.
Using the second chance offer is an awesome way of boosting your eBay sales.
