Buying an item with freepost or post to pay things to consider

Like if this Guide is helpful
When buying items and you find the same item with free post and postage to pay most buyers will look to the total price charged ie the cost of the item where post is free and the cost of the item plus postage when it is not, then buy the cheapest.
However there are some things to consider before making this choice.
1 When the item is not as you expected and you want a refund
When the item is freepost you will always get a 100% refund
When the cost of the item is separate from the postage cost you may only get the cost of the item back and not  the cost of the postage.  So please check with the seller and ask the question if you need to return the item will you be refunded everything you paid including postage.
2  Does the freepost offer cover your postcode?   Some sellers have freepost on an item but will charge postage for certain postcodes, this is normally within the text of the description
3 Does the freepost include tracking of your order
4 Remember the seller is only obliged to give you a refund if the item is not as described or faulty
5 There are many sellers that will pay for the return of the item if it is faulty or not as described but there are some who are unable to absorb this cost so if you are buying from overseas or a heavy item check with the seller to see if they pay the cost of a faulty or not as described item to be returned to them.
