Can Silver Ring be Resized?

Like if this Guide is helpful

I have received a lot of questions lately. I was asked whether silver rings could be resized if they are taken to a jeweller.

Well, the answer is "POSSIBLE", but "NOT EASY". For silver rings with stone beads(eg. cz, simulated diamond, crystals), resizing is even harder.

The reason is that silver has the ability to conduct heat rapidly, while the stone may not be able to take heat well.
That said, heating up the silver ring may cause damage to the stones. Some jeweller may want to take the stone out of the ring before heating up the ring to avoid damage to the stone, and then it makes it even harder...

In that case, it is not surprising some jewellers may tell you that your silver rings can't be resized. Or in a worse case, one of my friends wanted to have her silver ring resized, and her jeweller accidentally broke one of the prongs that hold the stone.

So the easiest way is to get the right size when you are thinking of purchasing a silver ring, especially one with stones!
