I have noticed some sellers on ebay may be claiming they have a particular camera body but have are in fact selling you another one. While I have been looking to upgrade our SLR Camera to a Canon 450D body, many of the sellers are making out that they are selling the '450D'... What you need to check though is if they are selling you the equivelant camera but under another model name known as the 'Kiss 2'. This is actually the Japanese model and is imported by the seller.
Now I would not think that there is anything else different with the Kiss2 model to the 450D model and I am sure that plenty of people are more than happy with their purchase. Please be aware thought that I have contacted Canon and asked if they service the warranty on them. Canon said that they only do warranty repairs on the 450D model in Australia, not the Kiss2.
My advice is to double check the make and model and how the warranty is serviced before you buy. It seems if you purchase the Japanese Kiss2 model and it needs a warranty repair, it would have to be sent back to Japan - possibly at your expense!
Good luck with your purchase!
