Beer Can Chicken

A problem that most home brewers end up facing is what do I do with that can of mass produced swill that one of your mates or neighbors bought over last time you had a party?
Most of the suggestions I have gotten are either too rude to show here or biologically impossible but there is one way to put a can of bad beer to good use :- Beer Can Chicken

Get a size 16 chicken and cover with the DRY RUB mixture (listed below).
Open and get rid of a quarter of the can of beer and poke a few more holes in the empty part of the can.
Add some of the DRY RUB mix or any herbs you have handy to the can.
Carefully sit the chicken on the can so the open can is inside the chicken (a fitting end for a bad beer) and it will ?stand up? unassisted.
Stand the chicken on an oven tray and place in the oven or BBQ till cooked. If the top of the chicken is cooking too fast, cover with a couple of rashers of bacon.
Roast or BBQ till ready to serve.

DRY RUB
¼ Cup Paprika
1tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 to 3 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder

Combine all ingredients in jar. Shake to mix. Lasts up to 6 months.
