Winter is upon us and for all those couch potatoes this means even more lying around and snacking! The good news is that getting fit doesn't have to mean running a marathon. You'll be surprised at what you can do on the couch! I have put together a list that works for me, lets face is footy season can have you laying on that couch all weekend for hours at a time!
While sitting, use large jars of dips or cans of food as weights and concentrate on those bicep curls. Do 10 at a time.
Hold your arm out straight in front of you, holding a unopened bottle of wine. Lift the bottle straight up towards the ceiling, keeping your elbow straight. Hold, then lower slowly.
With your legs out straight, tighten your quads (front of thighs) and glutes (buttock muscles). Hold for 10 seconds, then relax and repeat.
Bend both elbows to 90 degrees and push them together behind your back, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Hold for 10 seconds, then relax. Repeat 10 times.
Lying on your side, do some leg lifts. Hold leg in the air, then relax. Repeat 10 times. Turn over and repeat with the other leg.
Lie on your back, bend your knees and place yoru hand under your lower back. Flatten your hand with your pelvis and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat 10 times.
Try these out and then noone can accuse you of doing nothing all weekend!!!
