A recent television program highlighted the plight of some unfortunate Ebayers. People who had purchased items and discovered they were not getting what they paid for or what they had described to them. Integrity is a key to success in aspect of life, little own EBAY.
Having had some dealings with with both purchasers and sellers that have not been so smooth, I have discovered that there is always a way to get things right. For example, a recent sale of a mobile phone that had previousl been with Orange, led to one such incident. Orange provided me, the seller, with unlock codes, assuring me that any CDMA company could use these codes to connect the phone with them. This led to one unhappy purchaser, but alas, I felt I was the one who had been misled. The easiest solution to our delima; refund the purchase price. As they say, honesty is always the best policy.
For both buyers and sellers to succeed on EBAY the old addage rings true, HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. This means sometimes swallowing our pride and making restitution, even when you feel you didn't do wrong. In the end, all EBAYERS are tainted with the same brush, so what I do affects you and what you do affects me.
Some Tips for Integrity.
Be honest and detailed with descriptions when selling.
Be prepared to make restitution, even when you feel you didn't do anything wrong.
If you say you'll do something, be sure to keep your word. i.e. postage next day means next day not next week!
Always attempt to make the other party your priority.
