Food Pouches for baby food

Like if this Guide is helpful

A challenge modern parents face is how to feed their baby their healthy homemade food when they are out and about.   The old method of taking a container and separate bowl and spoon is cumbersome and messy.
Food pouches are easy to carry and your baby can feed themselves by simply squeezing the package.  Because food pouches are a small size they can fit into lunchboxes, diaper bags and even pockets on your clothing.
While there are a number of varieties of food pouch products available ready made in supermarkets these will often contain flavourings, preservatives and too much sugar.
Plus it is always better to make your own food with fresh natural ingredients.
The answer to this is to use reusable food pouches which you purchase empty ready to be filled with your own ingredients.  These can then be washed and re-used over and over again.
There are many types of reusable food pouches available so you want to find the one that is most suitable for your needs.
The main points to look for are
  • Size - You want a pouch big enough to fit the whole meal for your child
  • Packaging material - The pouch should be made of plastic that is free from BPA, PVC and phthalates
  • Cleaning - The pouch should be easy to clean
  • Storage - The pouch should be able to be frozen to store food for longer periods
  • Safety - The pouch should have no parts that can pose a choking hazard for kids
One pouch that meets all of these requirements and more is "My Lil Pouch"
These pouches are tough, versatile and made from food safe materials.  They are dishwasher safe and have a wide, durable, double ziplock opening for easy filling and cleaning.
The pouches range in size from 100 to 500ml and come in a variety of designs and colours.  They are also available with special choke safe lids.
These pouches are available from our ebay store at stores.ebay.com.au/aussieinfants
