HOW TO INSTALL REGULATORY AND OTHER SIGNS

INSTALLING A SIGN

When you buy a sign you need to know how to install it and this guide will give you easy to understand instruction on how to instal a regulation sign, as well as a non regulation signs in a quick and easy manner.

There are several methods from which to chooose depending on the type of sign to be installed

Mount the sign to a door or wall using double-sided tape

Mount to the side of a building or fence by drilling holes in the 4 corners

and using plugs, screws or glue fix to the building

or fix to a fence using metal ties

Mount the sign to a sign frame using the nuts and bolts supplied

Mount the sign using a Post and Bracket

For Inground Post (regulatory) 600mm is required inground, leave a head clearance of 2.4m below the fixed sign

For Inground Post (into earth) use a 450mm spear (Oz Post) leave a head clearance of 2.4m below the fixed sign 

For Surface Mounted (non regulatory) use a 1.8m 2.4m, 2.8m or 3.2m Post 

( i ) Regulatory Signs (i.e. traffic signs) 450 x 600mm mount on a 3.6m Post (600mm inground secured by cement) fit the sign using the brackets leave 2.4m head clearnace below the fixed sign

 ( ii ) Non Regulatory Signs mounting is easier using a 450mm inground spear with a 2.8m post held in place by wedges fit the sign using the brackets leave 2.4m head clearance below the fixed sign

( iii ) Non Regulatory Signs Surface Mounted ( bolt down base ) use a 2.4m, 2.8m or 3.2m post and fix into concrete using concrete bolts

Mount the sign to a window using suction cups
