There are so many wallets on the market – which one is right for you? Surfing online you will find men's wallets in every imaginable shape, size, material and price. There are many styles of men's wallets available from bi-folds, tri-folds, id wallets, flip wallets, money clip wallets, checkbook wallets and so on.
Well its kind of a trick question. The answer there isn’t going to be just one wallet that fits all of your needs if you have a wide variety of requirements. Its advisable to own a range of wallets and use them as you see fit. Think about the style that is best for you for different needs. The easiest way to get started is to take out your current wallet.
If your looking for an everyday classic wallet, use your current wallet as a guide as to what's best for you. If its too big and the cards are falling out all the time? Is it too bulky for your pocket? If your current wallet is overflowing then consider a bi-fold. Bi-fold wallets can hold more as they only fold once as opposed to a tri-fold. These classic wallets are ideal for jeans or pants. Carrying notes, credit cards, Id and business cards.
Consider how you carry your wallet. Do you carry it in your back pocket? In your jacket pocket? In this case size matters, generally speaking a tri-fold wallet will be less bulky simply by virtue of not being able to hold as much.
The bigger wallet you have the more you are going to stuff into it. The first thing all men should own and use is a billfold or money clip wallet. The prefect size for Notes, Credit card and Drivers Licence. This stays out of the way, doesn’t have much of a profile, and is the best way to not have a mark on the pants.
The next step is deciding on material. Men's wallets are available in everything from leather to vinyl to canvas and more. There are some great wallets on the market that are made of PU Leather that is stronger and more durable than real leather. I've even seen one made of duct tape. Take a look at your current wallet; is it beat up after only one year, or have you had it forever. If you go through wallets like crazy then it's generally best to either buy a high quality ballistic nylon or PU leather wallet, or, accept it's fate and go cheap. Keep in mind though that men’s leather wallets need a certain amount of care to maintain their strength and beauty.
