Many sellers, especially new ones, keep a close eye on their eBay feedback rating - the higher your feedback rating, the more trustworthy buyers will find you. And this results in more bids and higher auction ending prices.
How it works:
- +1 point for each positive comment and rating left for you.
- 0 points for each neutral comment and rating left for you.
- -1 point for each negative comment and rating left for you.
A feedback star once you have 10 or more comments and ratings left for you.
For example, JoeBlog (125) means that the eBay member with the User ID 'JoeBlog' has received positive Feedback from at least 125 other eBay members.
You can view your feedback a few different ways. Within your My eBay account, simply click on the feedback tab at the top, and you can view all feedback (including any followups) with the most recent feedback comments at the top.
Viewing Feedback you received:
When you first click the “Feedback” link in My eBay, at the bottom of the page, you’ll see the last five feedback comments and scores you’ve received.
The icons in the left column indicate the Feedback you received. For example:
Indicates positive Feedback
Indicates negative Feedback
Indicates neutral Feedback
You can also view all of the Feedback you received from other members.
You can also set your About Me page to include your recent feedback - when you have superb feedback and potential bidders are checking your About Me page, this is an excellent way to show off your feedback.
