Selecting the right colour tie from an online store can be tricky. How do you know the exact shade is going to match that important dress or outfit? And when its for an important occasion like a wedding, formal, dinner dance or races or any other party, then it pays to make sure you are checking the colour will match. It also pays to make sure you are buying from an Australian seller who will post your items quickly so if there is a discrepancy between the colour you wanted and the colour supplied, you will have a chance to exchange for the right one

Matching colours can be hard. First things first, select a colour to provide an accent. For formal occasions, like weddings for the groom and groomsmen, choose a solid colored tie that’s darker than your shirt. A solid tie is the most versatile of all neckties because it is appropriate with everything. A dark tie is appropriate for business wear. Pairing it with a khaki or blue shirt evokes military uniform authority.  A black tie goes with everything and is suitable for all occasions from funerals to work. It's also ideal for hiding stains. Younger men, or men living in warmer climates, tend to prefer coloured ties (and shirts). Skinny have become fashionable for their stylish and complimentary slimming effect.

When viewing a coloured tie online, it is important to bear in mind that some inevitable colour variation will take place. This is usually because of discrepancy between the item and the digital image that has been taken of it, which can vary due to light sources. There is also variation between the digital image and the monitor / display colour settings on your PC, phone or monitor screen. The images look different on all pcs (just like when you go to a TV shop and look at all the TV pictures they are all different in some way). Reputable Australian sellers, like ourselves do our best to accurately display the correct colours, our intention is to get this as correct as possible, but some variation is inevitable.

It is also important to recognize that naming colours will vary between people. Some people will call the same colour a variety of names. For example the names “aqua”; “turquoise; “light blue”; “sky blue”; “lakes blue”; “sea green”; “baby blue” might all be used for the same colour tie by different sellers and customers alike. Therefore it is important to buy from a seller not because they name the colour the same as you do, but because they have clear bright photographs, and offer a full and fast exchange policy.

We stock a huge range of colours and therefore if our customers are in any doubt, we encourage them to purchase samples in advance of the special occasion for which the tie is needed. That way they can colour match themselves and if the colour isn’t exactly right they can quickly and easily take advantage of our Free and Fast Exchange Policy.
