To get the best prices for the goods you are selling on Ebay, you must "think like a buyer". You must assist the buyer in every possible way and make it easy to buy from you.
If you were a buyer, what would encourage YOU to BUY?
You would like a good, clean photo/photos of the goods, you would like a detailed, honest description of the goods and you would like to be able to find the goods easily on Ebay listings. You would also like to be assured that you are dealing with an honest seller.
Photos are very important as they show off your item. Can you imagine buying an item than is shown in a dark, out of focus photo? Make sure your photo is featured in gallery as many people just scroll down and open only items that visually attract them.
Description is also important. Make it as detailed as necessary. Remember to describe the goods accurately - warts and all.
For items that are listed in popular catagories it is important to use Featured Plus listing. This will ensure that your listing is featured in the first few pages and give you extra exposure throughout your lisiting period.
Make sure your listing contains key words, especially in the heading. Remember these words are picked up when prospective buyers do a search for an item.
Finally, earn good feed back. Buyers look at feedback to see how you have dealt with previous customers. If your feed back is good, buyers will be happy to deal with you.
