I have won an eBay auction. How do I pay?

How you pay will depend on the various payment methods accepted by the seller. All sellers mention their own policies regarding payment and buyers have to comply with these payment policies. A seller is not required to change their payment options for any buyer. Instead, if you have won an auction and you do not want to make use of any of the available payment methods, then the buyer could cancel your bid and mark you for non-compliance.

To make sure that this does not happen, do check the listing to ensure that at least one of the payment options works for you. If you cannot find even a single choice that is viable for you, please do not bid on that auction and look for others that have payment options that are suitable for you.

The most preferred payment option on eBay is that of PayPal. Most sellers accept this payment method and it is also one of the quickest and safest payment options on eBay. You can either use your credit card and pay through PayPal or use your bank account too.

Another payment option is that of Pay on Pickup. If this option has been listed, you get a chance to pick up the product from a location that is convenient to you and also check the product prior to making the payment. But once again, not all auctions have this payment option available to buyers.

By and large, most options will require you to have a credit card that can be used to make payments on the eBay site itself.
