I received my item, but there's a problem. What should I do?

If you have received an item that you won in an eBay auction and there is some problem with the product, please do not panic. Most buyers make the mistake of getting alarmed and the very first thing they do is go and leave a horrible feedback for the seller. But this will only make the situation worse and not help you in any way. You see, if you have already left negative feedback for the seller, he will not be that inclined to help you in solving your issues.

Instead, you should get in touch with the seller, either on their private email address or through the tool provided by eBay. Do give them at least 48 hours to get back to you with a workable solution to your problem. You should send at least one reminder email to the seller as there could be hundreds of genuine reasons why they are not able to get back to you immediately. Exhibiting some patience and showing some consideration for the seller will ensure that they get in touch with you as soon as it is possible for them.

Most eBay sellers are extremely helpful and do whatever it takes to correct any mistakes on their part. After all, their eBay rating depends on their cooperation. By working with the seller in a positive manner, not only will you be able to solve your problem quickly, but the seller is very likely to give you raving feedback that will help to boost your eBay ratings tremendously.
