INVITATIONS

QUANTITY OF STATIONERY NEEDED

Remember not every guest gets an invitation, so if anything you will need approximately half of your number of guests invited.

STATIONERY YOU MAY NEED

The full package consists of:

  • INVITATIONS - (choice of traditional with or without an envelope or postcard style)

  • PLACECARDS - (choosing from small individual placecards or larger style that sits in the middle of the table with table number and guests' names)

  • THANKYOU CARDS - (you wont need these if you put a thankyou verse on the  placecard or bomboniere tag)

  •  BOMBONIERE TAGS - (choosing from a flat style or ones that open up)

  • SERVICE BOOKLETS - (do you require just the cover with or without ribbon? Is the content a full book (16pgs) or an order

HELP WITH WORDING

  • Who is the host of the party, i.e who will be inviting your guests on the invitations
(e.g both parents, brides parents, bride and groom, etc.)?

  • Whose name on the stationery will come first, bride or groom ?
(traditionally it is bride, although many cultures prefer the groom first)

  • Will you allow them to telephone their rsvp?

  • Whose address is the rsvp going to be posted to?
(Will your guest be buying their own rsvp? Will you supply an rsvp for them?)

CUSTOM MADE OR FULLY ASSEMBLED STATIONERY

Production time depends on many factors. All stationery custom made by hand so you need to take into consideration exactly how much work is involved with your particular design.

Other factors are the work load at hand, availability of your materials and the size of your order.

It may take anywhere between 1-6 weeks.

WHEN TO SEND INVITATIONS OUT AND SETTING AN RSVP DATE

We usually suggest that you send out invitations 8 weeks before the special day.

Although if your guests are overseas or interstate you will need to consider postage time and also the time they may require to organise their travel and accomodation. We suggest that you set an rsvp date 4 weeks before the special day. This will allow time for you to finalise numbers with the venues and organise placecards in time.

If you feel your guest may need chasing up we suggest your rsvp date be 6 weeks prior to the occasion.

HOW MUCH DO INVITATIONS COST?

All our designs and materials vary in price. Our price structure is based on the amount of work involved with the design, the size and the materials we use. It is impossible to give approximates over the telephone or in emails, although we would be more than happy to write you up a quote for exactly what you choose. We discount depending on your quanitity and if you were to purchase stationery as a package.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED TO THINK ABOUT WHEN CHOOSING STATIONERY

Colours: traditionally, for weddings, brides used to match their stationery with the bridesmaids dresses although now a days not many follow this tradition.

Theme: do you like roses, gerberas, ribbons, angels, hearts, etc.

Shape: would you like it to open up as a traditional card? Square? Long and Narrow? or lay flat?

Size: this is also related to shape. Please note shapes outside the standard C6 and DL size envelopes are considered large letters and hence cost more to post.
