Measuring Your Feet to Buy Athletic Shoes Online

Like if this Guide is helpful

People shop for products and services online each day. Some are hesitant to make an online purchase due to the inability to 'experience' a desired product firsthand. It is common for online retailers to suggest 'experiencing' particular products at brick and mortar locations before making an eventual online purchase.

Some may be hesitant to purchase athletic shoes online due to sizing concerns. It can be disappointing and an annoying to purchase items online only to find they are the wrong size. To ensure you're getting Nike, Adidas, etc or any other fitting athletic shoes, read the following measuring suggestions:

large sheet of paper

measuring tape

Tape the piece of paper on the floor. Take off your shoes and stand on the paper. Trace a line around the circumference of your foot and repeat the process for the other foot. Measure the length of each foot. It is common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other. Take the higher of the two measurements and add a half inch. That is the inch measurement for your new athletic shoes.

Tips to go:

- Feet may be more swelled in the evening from the day's work

- Be aware of sock thickness. You'll want to leave additional space for athletic or thicker socks

- Some shoes have a wider or more narrow fit then other shoes.
