Metafit will really change your body...
Metafit is a total body-weight training workout. It will help you to burn fat, tone up, lose weight, build muscle and get fitter….all in a 30 min session!
Created by a former Royal Marine Commando and a national gymnast, Metafit combines traditional bodyweight exercises with the latest Hight Intensive Interval Training and tabata techniques to set your metabolism on fire, so that you are burning calories for hours after you finish your workout…..
Expect burpees, squat jumps, exploding jacks, core exercises and much much more! There is a huge variety and a whole body workout all in 30 mins.
It is recommended to do a minimum of 3 sessions per week if you want to achieve your great results, although Metafit also works really well combined with other training such as strength, running, and team sports.
It’s not a home workout and it’s not available on DVD. It’s a class taught by live qualified coaches.

METCON – TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING
A study conducted by the The European Applied Journal of Physiology found that your metabolism can be in an elevated state for up to 16 hours post intense resistance exercise. This means you will be burning heaps of calories during your workout, but also afterwards.
Metcon is all about strength & conditioning training. You will perform basic, multi-joint strength exercises – big moves that require high energy demand. You will use things like dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells and body weight exercises. You will also be doing things like sprints, stairs, box jumps, jump rope etc…..
By doing Metcon classes, you will notice increased strength and cardio endurance, increased power, speed and of course a boost in your metabolism. All this means stronger muscles, less body fat and overall better health
HIIT – High Intensity Interval Training… at Home
High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT, is one of the most effective way to burn fat!
You don’t have to spend hours and hours at the gym to get fitter, stronger and leaner. You can get a great workout in 20-30mins. Or even LESS!
If you are short on time, interval training (HIIT) is the way to go! Perfect for busy people!
The key to high intensity interval training is to recover on the down part and go for it 100% for the sprint part. Interval training can be done with heaps of different exercises and can be done anywhere at anytime. Things like running, swimming, riding are good examples. Here is an example:
- Easy jog for 60 secs, sprint for 30 secs, repeat 5 mins
- Easy jog for 45 secs, sprint for 45 secs, repeat for 5mins
- Easy jog for 30 secs, sprint for 60 secs, repeat for 5 mins
If you would prefer to do a workout at home, you could do a workout similar to this, which is also a great form of HIIT – combining strength training and interval training in 1!
- 1 min squats
- 1 min squat jumps
- 1 min push ups
- 1 min Mountain Climbers
- 1 min power lunges – alternate legs
- 1 min Burpees
- 30 sec rest
REMEMBER – It’s all about the INTENSITY!
– Push yourself so you can’t possibly do any more!
With a class called INSANITY, that says to me….challenging, intense and crazy!
You will be pushed to your highest degree possible, sweating like crazy. DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) will kick in the next day as if you have had a hard weights sessions. I love that feeling )
As with other High Intensity workouts, Insanity is where you will perform long bursts of maximum intensity exercises with short periods of rest. You will be constantly challenged and this class is said to burn up to 1000 calories in an hour.
It will change your body shape, by using body weight exercises combined with plyometrics and maximum interval cardio burst, which will blow your heart rate right up into the fat burning zone.
