New Buyer on eBay? Maximise your Watch List!
The Ebay watch list is one of the most useful features on the website, and one that surprisingly few people are aware of. If you stumble across an item but don’t want to bid on/buy it just yet, then look for a handy grey button located underneath the “Place bid” and “Buy it Now” links (if applicable). Once you click this button, just hover over the “My eBay” tab and select “Watch List.” This is where you’ll be able to quickly find all of those items that you’ve saved for later.
You can add up to 200 items to your Watch List, and each item will remain on the list for 60 days (unless you delete it sooner). If you’re watching multiple items, you can categorize them into different customizable lists; this is perfect if some of the items are potential gifts, some are clothing for your children, some are furniture for your home, etc. To customize a new list, select the “Create a new list” button on the left-hand side of your default Watch List page.
Another handy trick is to make your own notes on products that you’re watching. Just tick the boxes of any items you would like to comment on, then hit “Add note.” You are given a leeway of up to 255 characters to write about each individual item; I like to copy and paste any questions that I’ve asked sellers and their answers here. Hit save and your notes will be there until the items are deleted!
