The old Nortel CM115 Cable Modem has been phased out of use on Telstras Bigpond Cable Network.  This has happened before with thier old CDLP Network.

Those that had the old CM115 were issued a free upgrade to a Motorola SB5100 series.  If you search Bigpond you will find that they have removed these modems off their network as of April 2006.

On that page Bigpond responded to the question "What do I do with the old Nortel modem?" with "We don’t need it back, but we do ask that you dispose of it thoughtfully. Please don’t try to sell it second hand, as the buyer will not be able to connect it to any network."

So if you do purchase an old CM115 be aware that you may not actually be able to use it to connect a broadband service!
