Paying for your item

Check item description carefully before bidding as many sellers (inlcuding us) offer extras or discounts for payment methods such as cash or bank deposit, these can often be of great benefit to you. The large fees that credit card companies or Paypal would have charged the seller for the transaction are then in essence deducted from your purchase price in this form. This is largely because these companies charge a great deal in added fees and also to simply keep all the funds in our beloved Australia. Unfortunately, many large overseas owned companies such as Paypal and eBay are not required to pay tax in Australia and therefore all fees and income collected go directly to overseas economies, not Australia. We can all do our bit to boost Australia by spending in Australia where possible.

Furthermore, while many consumers are attracted to the 'protection' that may be offered by third party companies, all business operating in Australia are required to be registered with the ATO, ACCC and The Department of Fair Trading. These are all set up to protect you, the consumer. In case anything goes wrong, you can rest assured, you will be covered. Here at United House we are a registered Australian business and having built up our reputable business over a number of years, we seek to protect it and rely largely on repeat business so our aim is to always please YOU first and foremost.
