Purchasing of overseas memory cards

A few months ago I purchased some SD Memory Cards from an international eBay seller. When I went to pay this seller, I realised that the amount of the memory card was cheap, however the postage was nearly more than the card itself.... then came the shock!  95% of international sellers then put on top of this P&H price an insurance charge. Please be aware of these extra charges when searching eBay for the item you want!!  Only recently I have been 'ripped off' again by a seller who I purchased two items from within 5 mins of each.  I questioned the seller if he could send both items in the same package which would save me money on two postage charges and two insurance charges. I was told this was unable to happen because they may not be packed at the same time, therefore two payments must be made.  I made both payments separately through PayPal yet when I picked up the items from the post office, they were in the same package.  I again emailed the seller saying this was wrong - if I bought two items, paid for two items, I should of received two packages.  He did not agree and I am now out of pocket a lot more money than if I bought it from a shop.

So fellow eBayers, lets keep it in Australia :)  Buy from Australian sellers who don't charge you postal insurance (unless optional!)  Also, we will be guaranteed to receive our items faster than international post!

Also please be careful that the item does not have "Sent from Australia" in the title and then the item location says an overseas country! Some sellers can be quite sneaky and present it in all different shapes and sizes!

I enjoy my eBay time. I find great things online that I would never of known where I could of found them. I have bought a lot of things that cannot be found in stores, or are so much cheaper online. Thanks eBay!

Happy eBaying!  :)
