What do you think would happen to you if you had a store and you cussed out or ignored every customer who came to you with a complaint?
You would most certainly go out of business.
This is true in the real world, however the virtual world allows an ananimitey that has given rise to a phenomenon known as : THE SELLER FROM HELL.
There is nothing a SELLER FROM HELL won't do to get your money.
You have SHYSTERS, and LEGITIMATE sellers both targeting buyers to sell a similar product. ( similar only in the sense of its function ) LEGITIMATE sellers want your repeat and referral business. They will be fair and honest with you. SHYSTERS & SELLERS FROM HELL only want your money, they figure, "theres more victims where you came from".
You can avoid the SHYSTERS and the SELLERS FROM HELL on ebay by reading their feedback. don't just glance at it but study it to find out how the customer described their buying experience.
The SHYSTER will usually offer free shipping and make some claim about being in the business for 30 or so years. They will claim to be members of various organizations, hold patents and or are suppliers for commercial businesses and city departments such as police and fire.
Do not expect honesty in the description. All products have their limitations except products sold by SHYSTERS. These products work on every thing from WARTS to CONVERTIBLE REAR WINDOWS ..... according to the seller. Read the comments of previous buyers to validate the truthfulness of the claims, They generally are false and the feedback reveals it.
THE SHYSTER WILL ALMOST NEVER SHOW YOU WHAT THEIR PRODUCT LOOKS LIKE.
The SELLER FROM HELL will do all the above, They are generally power sellers and claim to belong to various internet business organizations. Prop themselves up on store bought diplomas, fake licenses and patents. They maintain their feedback rating by having negative ratings removed and buying penny items and counting that positive feedback from sellers when the feedback from their buyers is generally negative. They make product guarantees that they refuse to honor. They don't ship the product in a timely manner or not at all.
In addition they will verbally abuse you in their negative feedback to you and call you everything from "Inbred moron" to "Skum" if you leave negative feedback. On the other hand this same seller will not leave any feedback if you leave positive feedback.
The SELLER FROM HELL has more than one ebay ID, They will use these other IDs to make purchases from their competitors only to leave negative feedback in order to ruin their competitor's perfect feedback score.
Several hundreds of buyers have chosen to buy from these sellers because the product was bargain basement priced only to find out that they would get stuck on the shipping which is more than the price of the product. If you are lucky enough to get a refund it only applies to the actual cost of the item and not the super high shipping charges. The SELLER FROM HELL gets to keep the shipping charges.
The worst sellers are those who charge more for their shipping than the product actually costs. If you want a refund they keep the bulk of the money as shipping costs. Example: Item costs .99 you pay $10 for shipping.
If the product does not work and you want a refund, shipping is non refundable so your refund consists of .99.
They did not read the feedback. and they don't read guides

VETERAN EBAY SELLERS CAN NO LONGER LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK BUT NEW EBAY BUYERS WITH NO FEEDBACK CAN!
HAS EBAY GONE CRAZY???
