You can cross promote in a number of ways.

  1. With your other items for sale
  2. With other eBayers who you have Cross Promo links with.

CROSS PROMOTING YOUR ITEMS

You can set up your own cross promotions from the seller manage shop page. This will enable you to advertise your items at the bottom of your item description. You promote different items for when people view your products or when people bid or buy.

For when people veiw your item , you should advertise items that are perhaps only available in your shop or items that are NOT related to the item they are viewing. This will draw more hits to your other items.

For when someone wins or bids on an item , you should advertise items that are only available in your store and those that are related to your item. For example, if you are a seller of Televisions, you may advertise TV stands which are only available in your store. This will maximize your sales while keeping your listing fees to a minimum.

Good Sellers will always to maximize sales from all buyers. This is a really good tool to use and may also promote repeat business. After buyers visit your shop , they often save it in their "my eBay".

CROSS PROMOTING WITH OTHER SELLERS

By cross promoting with other sellers that sell add on items , you will be able to receive more traffic to your listings and your store. An example is that I sell Bird Boxes and therefore have a cross promotion link with a seller who Nesting wool for the boxes. His items appear on my listing as my listing do appear on his.

If you a new seller on eBay , Request a cross promotion link with an experienced seller who is selling lots of items. This will work better for as more buyers will see your listings.

ALWAYS HAVE A PROMOTION BOX IN YOUR SHOP TO ENABLE BUYERS TO SIGN UP FOR A MONTHLY NEWS LETTER VIA E-MAIL. EBAY ALLOWS YOU TO SEND 1000 E-MAILS A MONTH !!!!!

ALWAYS INCLUDE A LINK IN YOUR ITEM DESCRIPTION TO YOUR SHOP AND MORE IMPORTANTLY A LINK TO ENABLE THE PERSON VIEWING THE ITEM TO ADD YOU TO THEIR FAVOURITE SELLERS.

When eBayers shop looking to buy something, they all search a number of items from different sellers. Most add the item to the watch list , which is ok , but when the item ends the potential buyer may lose the link. Always have the link to enable them to add you to their Favourite sellers!!! Repeat business is Good Business!
