Example: Selling a pair of boots that range in size from Kids to very large Adults and getting the price you want is a tricky thing. What to you do. Do you make an Ebay listing for for each size and colour? You often see this. Or do you sell buy size category i.e a listing for kids and a listing for male and female adults? You see this we well.
I have found that the most effective way to sell an item such as a pair of boots is to list one pair and specify in the description that they are available in different sizes and colours. I also have a size chart available by ebay mail request or in some cases included into the description.
Also, I always promote at least one of my items by using the featured item or at the very least use the gallery or bold features.
Simple. I always have lot of bidding activity and achieve the prices I want.
I do not use multiple listings for the same item at the same time. I had done this in the past only to find that very few of my items reached a satisfactory price at the close of auction.
The second hint is the best tool I have.
I watch the closing the minutes of an auction. If bidding is going well or if there are a number of watchers I prepare another item the same or similar to list. Once the under a minute to the close of the auction timers has started I list the next item I want to sell.
Doing this has been the most successful way in kicking of the next items bidding with a bang. I always get bids within a few minutes of the last auction closing.
Try it yourself.
