Are you storing your fragrance oils correctly?

Here are some tips on correct storage of your fragrance oils.
You are investing good money into your oils, so it is best that you know the correct way to store them.

Safety and Handling of Oils

Care must be taken when handling fragrance oils.

* Do not ingest - seek medical attention immediately if consumed and contact your state or national poisons hotline
* Keep out of reach of children and pets
* Do not use on skin directly- irritation may occur
* If using fragrance oils for skincare / bath / body products, always double check with the supplier that they are suitable for skin use. Some oils like Gingerbread are not for use in skincare products
* It is advisable to wear safety glasses and gloves when using fragrance oils
* Liquids may damage some surfaces if they come into contact.  Wipe away residues and spills immediately.  Work on clean, non porous and appropriate surfaces
* Keep out of direct sunlight.  Store in a cool, dark place
* Replace the lid as soon as you are finished working with the oils
* Most oils when stored correctly will have a shelf life of 12 months to 24 months. Some maybe longer!
