When looking for a used ball remember to add approximately $45 to the cost. This is what it will cost you to have the existing fingerholes plugged and to have the ball redrilled to suit your hand. In many cases you would be better waiting for a sale down at your local bowling alley and buying a new ball for around $70 as this price will include drilling.
Oh, and those half-red/half-blue shoes you see for sale here sometimes - they are AMF house shoes. AMF never get rid of them unless they're too worn out to be of any use and any that are in "good" condition are highly likely to have been stolen. The common story is "I bought them from a charity shop" or "I was given them". Please do not buy them.
