The Busty Girl's Guide to Summer Fashion

Boob tubes, spaghetti straps and strapless tops and dresses are all the rage, but no good for the busty girl?  Not necessarily so.

Here are some tricks from someone who has been at least a DD all her life (and yes, I am skiting!)

First of all thank Madonna in the late eighties for making it okay to show bits of you bra!

Coloured bras:  The simplest way to wear these summer fashions is with a matching or contrasting bra.  Be daring and wear a red bra under green, or a purple bra under black.

Strapless dresses:  Well, you could get a strapless bra...but if you are like me, these do not give enough lift.  Don't be afraid to wear your matching or contrasting bra with strapless shirred dresses. Make a feature of it by wearing matching shoes!

Add straps:  If you still don't want to get your bra straps right out there unaccompanied, get two or three colours of thin ribbon and add them to the top, so your bra straps are just one more strap in the group.

Halter necks:  While you can get halter bras for busty girls, frankly, I find them a pain in the neck!  Literally!  If you buy yourself a halter neck dress, you can always attach the straps to the back of the dress roughly where your bra straps will sit.

Black bras:  Don't underestimate just wearing black under bright colours.  The colour black recedes from the eye (the same principal behind people having black fences) and takes a back seat to the colours of the dress.

Swimwear:  If you are like me, you also own the most supportive swimwear tops you could find!  It's also an option to wear your underwire bikini top instead of a bra. It might give you more colour options, and swimwear is designed to be seen.  People will just think you are a beach bunny!
