I have been a seller on ebay for years and I have at times, had many sales and great customers. When certain changes were made, I unfortunately closed my shop and left. I regret doing so and I am now considering opening another store and slowly filling it with items.
I have always enjoyed the buzz of selling. I have learned a lot from making mistakes, but one thing that I must stress. The ebay experience is what YOU make of it.
Now I am not making many sales at the moment, I have has to relist some items and I am losing a bit on fees, but I have learned that, that situation is not the end of the world. Selling online seems to have certain phases, waves if you call it, of high selling times and dry periods. Stay the course, research items, study what the competition is doing and learn Microsoft excel. Using excel will tell you exactly how much you should charge for your items (along with studying the market) and you can keep lists of your costs. This is crucial. But most of all, try and make your ebay experience fun and exciting. Stay the course and come up with a great store, have fun creating your ebay ID. Keep it simple and have great customer service.
