"Vulture Culture" 1984 Excellent Old Rock Music for all

For your listening pleasure here are some
Really Unique and quite Rare LP Records from the 70's & 80's.

The Alan Parsons Project - "Vulture Culture"1984

The Alan Parsons Project was a British progressive rock band active between 1975 and 1992,
founded by Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons.

The concept for "Vulture Culture" in 1984 was a twist on the expression used to describe unworldly people steeped in the arts (Culture Vulture)
and reflected the ever increasing ruthlessness of mankind in a world of stark economic reality.

"Vulture Culture" was The Alan Parsons Project's (APP) 8th album.

It came out originally early in 1984,
and on the heels of "Eye in the Sky" and "Ammonia Avenue",
a couple of pop-heavier APP discs.

In brief, this is one of Alan Parsons Project's most mellow albums and it's main theme seems to be about
the "me-first", and "what's in it for me" attitudes that are so common these days.

While I do enjoy Alan Parsons Project's progressive rock offerings,
I've always favored their mellower side even more and "Vulture Culture" is therefore one of my favorite Alan Parsons Project's albums.

The closest Alan Parsons Project's gets to rock on this disc is the opening track,
"Let's Talk About Me", and it doesn't rock that hard.

This is a pop-driven effort, as evidenced by the following tracks:
"Separate Lives", "Sooner or Later", "Vulture Culture" , and "Somebody Out There".

What makes this a top-notch album are the mellow tracks
"Days are Numbers" and "Same Old Sun" , and the excellent instrumental "Hawkeye."

In short, there's not a stinker in the whole list!
And, consequently, I think that you will enjoy listening to the entire album.

Great Album!!!

This album comes from my personal collection (opps, now i have given my age away ;-])
my problem is that i no longer have a record player to play them!!!

If you love your 70s - 80's music as much as i do, just sit back and enjoy them...

and it won't be long till you'll be feeling that same old groove again,
and those great old memories will come flooding back...
